Date Uploaded: 21 January 2015 Airframe: Stearman-Boeing PT-17 Kaydet, s/n 41-8348 USAAC, c/n 75-1907, c/r N53039 Notes: Quality low as taken from computer screen image, see the original film for real flying and chase scene sequences and on-board cameras give cockpit, instrument panel in the stunt version. Stunts included risky maneuvers in a car chase in a rough field including collision crumpling the rudder fabric and ending in a flip end-over-end with pilot Frank Tallman. The N53039 was reconstructed for civil use and reregistered in 1979. (* this frame number doesnt seem to appear yet in the Tallman/Tallmantz Aviation inventory online).
