    Constructed as a H.126.
    Built for the Royal Aircraft Establishment.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n XN714.

    From 8 December 1962 to 10 December 1962

    Transported by ground. Delivered to Royal Aircraft Establishment (RAE), Bedford.
    Despatched by road from Huntings at Luton some 30 miles to RAE Bedford for ground development work and flight trials.

    26 March 1963

    First flight.
    Improved weather permitted the first flight.

    19 June 1965

    Demonstrated at the Paris Salon at Le Bourget airfield.

    9 November 1967

    Last flight.
    Last recorded flight. Lack of finance and an increase in pure jet lift projects had ended the jet flap research programme.

    3 April 1969

    Transported by air.
    Delivered to Moffet Field, CA, on board Short Belfast XR366.

    To NASA-Ames Flight Research Center, Moffett NAS, CA.

    14 May 1970

    Transported by ship.
    Aircraft arrived back at home at on-Spalding Moor from NASA.
