    Constructed as a Ju-88D-1/Trop.

    June 1943

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Fortele Aeriene Romane with s/n 105.
    Known as the Baksheesh, it was the best known Ju 88 of the 15,000 built.

    By July 1943

    Redesignated as Ju-88D-3.

    22 July 1943

    A disillusioned Romanian pilot flew the aircraft to Cyprus to defect to British forces there.

    October 1943

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n HK959.
    Overhauled at Heliopolis.

    October 1943

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n FE1558.

    14 October 1943

    Arrived Wright Field, OH, from Cairo via South Atlantic route.

    Circa 1946

    Assigned to Davis-Monthan Army Airfield, AZ for storage.
