    Constructed as a Hart II by Hawker at Kingston, Surrey.
    Ha.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n J9941.

    27 May 1931

    To Hawkers, Kingston, Surrey with new c/r G-ABMR.

    From 1931 to 1936

    Used as a test bed for many Rolls Royce Kestrel engines.

    From 1937 to 1939

    Used as a photographic platform aircraft.

    30 August 1939

    To A G Hawker Engineering Co Ltd, Brooklands, Surrey keeping c/r G-ABMR.

    Circa 1939

    Used as a hack for ferrying pilots between Hawker factories at Langley, Brooklands and RAF Units. As well it continued in the role as a photo ship.

    9 February 1940

    Certificate of airworthiness for G-ABMR expired.

    4 April 1941

    To unknown owner with c/r G-ABMR.

    1 May 1942

    Civil registration renewed.

    11 October 1943

    Civil registration renewed.

    10 October 1944

    Civil registration renewed.
    Expired and renewed.

    5 November 1945

    Civil registration renewed.
    Expired and renewed.

    14 November 1946

    Certificate of airworthiness for G-ABMR expired.

    November 1946

    Withdrawn from use.

    14 May 1950

    Flew in the Daily Express South Coast Race, placing 53rd.

    August 1956

    Involved in an incident.
    Forced landing after an engine failure. at 600 feet over Wiltshire piloted by D M S (Duncan) Simpson.

    From 1956 to 1959

    The search for replacement parts for the Kestrel engine took three years.

    Restored.

    September 1963

    Markings Applied: J9941
    Repainted.

    1972

    Loaned to RAF Musuem, Hendon.
    Loaned by Hawker Siddeley Aviation Ltd, Dunsfold.
