    Constructed as a 247D.

    To United Airlines with new c/r NC13365.

    1937

    To United Flight Research Laboratory with new c/r NX13365.
    Operated with markings: Flight Research
    The interior was fitted with test benches to hold equipment and the ceiling hat racks were modified to carry wire bundles to and from the various test equipment being used. Nicknamed the Flying Lab, the Boeing 247D made its first flights for what became the United Flight Research Lab (as its efforts moved beyond communications and into general flight safety) the standard all-over gray color used on Uniteds 247 fleet at the time. Before long, however, NX13365 was repainted in an attractive white and red scheme.

    Was allocated s/n 42-38354 with the United States Army Air Force but was not taken up.

    Operated with markings: Estado de Sinaloa

    To unknown owner with c/r XB-LID.

    To Taxis Aereos Nacionales with new c/r XA-JUV.

    5 May 1952

    Destroyed in a crash.
    At Mexico City -Crashed on take-off. Crew seriously injured.
