Summary: The airframe was written off. There were eight fatalities. The cargo flight departed Goma Airport (GOM/FZNA), Congo (Democratic Republic) and was destined for Amisi Airport, Congo (Democratic Republic). The accident occurred at Amisi Airport (Congo (Democratic Republic)) while on approach. Narrative: The Convair CV-580 departed Goma (GOM) at 07:30 UTC on a cargo flight to Amisi. The airplane carried telecom equipment on behalf of the Vodacom company. The Convair was one of two planes used by LAC - SkyCongo, a subsidiary of Skyhaul (South Africa)...
