    Graeme Harney comments (23 January 2022): This photo depicted as taken in June 1995 is not the same aircraft that is the subject of this article but rather is an A-4A variant which was the initial production version of the type. This is defined by some obvious differences to the subject version including a rudder with an external skin rather than the later externally ribbed version, a lack of an in-flight refuelling probe and flush to fuselage engine air intakes.
