Finished in 3rd place with an average speed of 316.34 mph. Raced in the Reserve race. Finished in 3rd place with an average speed of 320.96 mph.

    Summarized NTSB narrative from report number FTW70FRG56: There was one fatality. Incident occurred at 16:15 hours. The airframe was destroyed. This was a local flight from Harlingen, TX. Stalled and/or mushed while cruising. Experienced an uncontrolled collision with terrain in an uncontrolled descent. A fire broke out after impact. Report remarks include: Aircraft stalled in steep turn, spin rotation stopped. Aircraft struck ground in dive, destroyed by fire...
