    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 42-98562.
    Original data plate verified and number substantiated by CAA records.

    October 1945

    Transferred to Army Ground Forces.

    2 April 1982

    Certificate of airworthiness for NX6430C (L-5, 1813) issued.

    By 18 April 1983

    To unknown owner with c/r N6430C.

    18 April 1983

    Crashed.
    The accident occurred at Haines, OR, United States while taking off. The damage was substantial. The aircraft collided with a fence during a takeoff and nosed over. The runway was an alfalfa field approximately 1000 feet in length with high growth. The density altitude was 4000 feet. The aircraft did become airborne but settled back to the field and takeoff was continued with not enough distance remaining.
