    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army with s/n 68-15846.

    December 1968

    Transferred to Director for Maintenance, 1st Army, New Cumberland Army Depot, PA.

    From 1969 to January 1974

    Transferred to 180th Assault Support Helicopter Company, Vietnam.
    Company named Big Windy.

    March 1970

    Damaged.
    During abort of a 105mm howitzer pickup the aircraft was hit by 30 cal automatic weapons fire; 29 holes in fuselage and one in the pilots leg.

    March 1972

    Modified as Super C by Air Vietnam, Saigon.

    February 1974

    Transferred to Director for Maintenance, 1st Army, New Cumberland Army Depot, PA.

    By August 1984

    Transferred to 180th Aviation Company (USAREUR), Schwabisch Hall, FRG.
    180th transferred from Vietnam while aircraft was in overhaul.

    June 1988

    Transferred to 70th Transportation Battalion, Mannheim, West Germany.
    Preparing for transport to USA.

    1989

    Remanufactured as a CH-47D.
    New construction number, M3275, assigned to the airframe.

    24 November 1989

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army with s/n 88-00101.

    1990

    Transferred to E Company, 502nd Aviation Regiment, USAREUR, Aviano Airbase, Pordenone, Italy.
    Company named Centurions.

    Transferred to F Company, 159th Aviation Regiment, USAREUR, Germany.
    Company named Big Windy.

    June 2009

    Transferred to B Company, 5th Battalion, 158th Aviation Regiment, USAREUR, Germany.
    Company named Big Windy.

    18 May 2011

    Detached to Dublin Airport, Ireland in support of HMX-1 with visit of President Obama to Ireland.

    23 May 2011

    Damaged.
    Damaged at Dublin Airport, Ireland, by rotor damage on landing in storm force winds.

    3 June 2011

    Airlifted by C-17A to USA for repairs.

    2012

    Scrapped.
    The dynamic components, such as the engines, power train, rotor system and portions of the hydraulic system, etc., were removed and placed on a new build airframe 11-08095 with remainder of airframe scrapped.
