    Placed on display with Afrikanda I. Village, adjacent to Monchegorsk AFB, Murmansk Oblast.
    Memorial text: During the fighting, pilots of the units stationed in Afrikinda-1 made 26,978 sorties, conducted 604 air battles, shot down 620 in the air, destroyed 206 enemy aircraft on the ground, dropped more than 1,500 tons of air bombs.Awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union for the military operations of 1939-1945. 28 pilots, guards Major Pokryshev L.A. was awarded a Hero star twice.Lists of names.

    2002

    To Polyarnye Zori, Murmansk Oblast, Monchegorsk, Murmansk.
    Displayed in centre of town as a War Memorial. The town is close to the disused Monchegorsk Air Base on the Kola Peninsula.The monument was erected in 2002 to the pilots of aviation military units who took part in the hostilities of 1939 - 1945. and stationed in peacetime in the adjacent village Afrikinda-1 1938 - 2002.
