    To American Airpower Heritage Fly Museum, Midland, TX with new c/r N27933.

    4 June 1990

    Crashed.
    The accident occurred at the Gregg County Airport (GGG) Longview, TX, United States while landing. The damage was substantial. During the landing roll at 15 to 20 miles per hour the airplane began to drift to the right. The rudder alone was not adequate and the pilot attempted to compensate with brakes. The airplane nosed over inverted. Both pilots felt that one of the brakes had locked; however, an ap mechanic examined and tested the system finding no discrepancies.

    Crashed.
    The accident occurred at Avenger Field (KSWW) Sweetwater, TX, United States while landing. The damage was substantial. The 4319-HOUR airline transport rated pilot completed the third leg of his flight and was landing at an intermediate stop to refuel the 1941-VINTAGE biplane. The pilot reported that he executed a normal approach for landing on runway 04 (a dry asphalt 5659-FOOT long by 75-FOOT wide runway) with the winds being reported from 050 degrees at 5 knots...
