    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 48-0581.

    Transferred to 54th Troop Carrier Squadron, 5039th Air Transport Group, Elmendorf AFB, AK.

    To Robert G. Sholton, Anchorage, AK with new c/r N4752C (C-82A, 48581).

    17 February 1962

    Major avionics upgrade.

    22 April 1970

    To Northern Air Cargo Inc, Anchorage, AK keeping c/r N4752C.

    26 January 1974

    Major structural upgrades to fuselage.

    24 February 1978

    Major avionics upgrade.

    Crashed.
    There were two serious injuries. The accident occurred at the Nelson Lagoon Airport (Z73) Nelson Lagoon, AK, United States while on appoach. The damage was substantial. The aircraft landed short damaging the right boom horizontal stabilizer. The runway threshold is marked by light green reflective threshold markers two red white striped touchdown panels.
