    Destroyed in a crash.
    Summary: The airframe was destroyed. There were 40 fatalities. The military flight departed Jaffna-Palaly Air Base (JAF/VCCJ), Sri Lanka and was destined for Anuradhapura Airport (ADP/VCCA), Sri Lanka. The event occurred at 14,5 km (9. 1 mls) S of Anuradhapura Airport (ADP) (Sri Lanka) while en route. Narrative: The plane was chartered by the air force from a Ukrainian company (Avialinii AAR) to transport troops including soldiers wounded in recent fighting with Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) rebels...
